Wayne Astill - Principal Consultant, Director
Wayne is an experienced HSEC Manager who has lived and worked in Kalgoorlie for over 20 years, primarily in senior roles across mining and government sectors. His active involvement in the environment and safety industries, including in the Goldfields Environmental Management Group (GEMG), Goldfields Environmental Forum (GEF) and the Mine Emergency Response Committee (MERC) has placed him well respected amongst his peers. Wayne brings a wealth of strategic and practical experience to Astill Consultants and has a deep understanding of the Goldfields-Esperance region from environmental and community perspectives.
Tari Laatz - Senior Consultant
Tari is an environmental professional with 12 years experience in the mining sector. Tari brings a broad mining knowledge to Astill Consultants having worked across environment, community, stakeholder engagement and heritage aspects in the Goldfields region. She enjoys working with clients on a dynamic and diverse range of projects to provide pragmatic solutions that uphold a commitment to responsible mining practices.
Savanah Tiller - Lead Consultant
Savanah is an environmental professional with operational experience in the WA mining industry. Based in our Geraldton office, she offers local expertise to the Mid West region after previously working in Kalgoorlie. Originally from Alice Springs NT, Savanah holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of South Australia. Savanah has a proven track record in securing environmental approvals for mining clients, is qualified as a Lead Auditor in ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems and enjoys working through technical environmental challenges.
Michelle Holmes - Consultant
Michelle is an experienced environmental consultant who has previously been employed in mining roles including Senior Environmental Advisor at CITIC Pacific Mining and Environmental Coordinator at KCGM, as well as regulatory roles in the (former) WA Department of Environment and Conservation. Michelle has recently returned to work in a casual capacity after taking time off to raise children, and provides Astill Consultants with a wealth of practical industry knowledge.
Michelle Williams - Business Manager, Director
Michelle is an experienced human resources and organisational development manager who has worked in Kalgoorlie for over 15 years, primarily in senior HR roles across mining and mining contractor sectors. Michelle brings a wealth of strategic and practical experience to Astill Consultants and has a deep understanding of challenges facing businesses around people and culture. As co-owner of Astill Consultants, Michelle has limited her consulting work to focus on the behind the scenes administration and operational management of the business.
Robin Almond - Consultant
Robin is a natural resources consultant with twenty (20) years’ experience as an advisor and consultant in Scottish forestry. Robin has qualified as a Lead Auditor in ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems and takes pride in finding practical solutions to deliver the best match for a client to achieve regulatory compliance.
Tarinah Nazaroff - Graduate Consultant
Tarinah is a graduate environmental consultant, with an honours degree in Environmental Science. Relocating to Kalgoorlie for her first professional environmental role, she has an eagerness to learn and an eye for detail. Having previously worked in a management role before joining the safety team of a mining equipment provider, Tarinah brings a great work ethic and many transferable skills to Astill Consultants. Tarinah has a key interest in assisting clients achieve their environmental objectives.
Perry Walker - Graduate Consultant
Perry is a graduate environmental consultant, with a Master of Science, specialising in environment and sustainability. Based in our Geraldton office, Perry has a keen interest in environmental risk management, resource efficiency and rehabilitation. Hailing from Gympie QLD and with previous work experience as a leader in social and community services, Perry has great interpersonal skills and a passion for problem-solving.
